Italian Marble Installation
Italian Marble Installation in Hyderabad & Secunderabad
Italian marble is a big investment, and installation is where most of that investment is either protected or wasted. SDL offers complete Italian marble installation in Hyderabad and Secunderabad. We plan slabs, lay the floor, fill joints and give it the final mirror polish, all with one team that has spent years working with marble.
Polishing is our core work, so we know what a badly laid floor looks like a year later: hollow sounds, lippage between slabs, cracks along joints and yellow patches from the wrong adhesive. Our installation process is built to prevent exactly those problems.
Whether it's a Statuario living room in a Jubilee Hills villa, Botticino flooring for a Gachibowli apartment or a book-matched feature wall in a Kokapet duplex, we handle Italian marble with the care it needs.

Why Italian marble installation needs a specialist
Italian marbles like Statuario, Carrara, Botticino, Dyna and Perlato are softer and more porous than most Indian marbles or granite. Many of them come with mesh and resin backing, and their veining makes slab placement a design decision rather than a mechanical one. A tile mason who lays granite every day won't necessarily know how to handle them.
The wrong bedding mix can push moisture and stain up through light-coloured marble. Too little mortar under a slab leaves hollow spots that crack under furniture legs. And uneven slabs mean heavy grinding later, which eats into the stone's thickness. A good Italian marble laying service gets these basics right from day one.

From slab selection to mirror finish
We can come with you to the stone yard, or check the slabs once they're delivered, so cracks, colour variation and resin defects are caught before cutting starts. We then lay out the slabs dry on site, number them and agree the vein direction with you.
Laying is done on a properly levelled bed, using white cement or a suitable adhesive for light marbles to avoid staining. We keep joints tight and even. Once the floor has cured, we fill joints with colour-matched epoxy. Then we grind, hone and polish in stages until the floor is flat and reflective. We finish with a sealer coat, and we'll tell you exactly how to care for the new floor.

Italian Marble Installation: FAQs
What is the Italian marble laying cost per sq ft in Hyderabad?
Labour for Italian marble laying in Hyderabad is usually ₹45 to ₹90 per sq ft. Book-matched layouts cost more. Mirror polishing after laying adds roughly ₹35 to ₹75 per sq ft. The marble material is priced separately and depends on the variety you choose.
How long does Italian marble installation take?
A 1,000 sq ft floor typically takes 7 to 12 days from laying to final polish. That includes curing time before grinding. Book-matched floors and staircases take longer because of the extra cutting and alignment.
Can you install Italian marble over my existing tiles or old floor?
Sometimes. If the existing floor is level, firmly bonded and the door heights allow for the added thickness, laying over it can work. If not, we recommend removing the old floor. We'll check this during the site visit.
Which Italian marble is best for Hyderabad homes?
For living areas, Botticino, Perlato and Dyna are popular because they're practical and reasonably priced. Statuario and Carrara look stunning but stain more easily, so they suit areas away from the kitchen. Our blog on Italian vs Indian marble covers this in more detail.
Why does Italian marble turn yellow after laying?
Yellowing usually comes from grey cement, iron content or moisture rising through a light-coloured marble. We use white cement or a suitable adhesive, give the floor proper curing time and seal it to avoid this.
Do you also polish Italian marble that someone else installed?
Yes. Italian marble polishing and restoration has been one of our main services for years. We fix lippage, dull patches, etching and scratches on existing Italian marble floors.
Do you provide Italian marble installation in Secunderabad?
Yes. We install and polish Italian marble across Secunderabad, Kompally, Alwal, Sainikpuri and Trimulgherry, as well as across Hyderabad from Gachibowli and Kokapet to Jubilee Hills and LB Nagar.
How should I maintain a new Italian marble floor?
Sweep or dry-mop daily, wipe spills quickly and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid acid, vinegar, phenyl and harsh floor cleaners. Most homes need a light re-polish every 2 to 3 years to keep the shine.
